Craig Doria
Born in South Africa in 1962, Craig spent boarding school vacations in rural KwaZulu Natal. He schooled at Kearsney College in Natal and went on to complete a BA degree at the University of Natal. Craig then obtained a Higher Diploma of Education and later an Honors degree, specializing in Environmental Education.
After working on Conservation Education Projects in northern KwaZulu Natal, Craig and his wife moved to Zambia where they spent over ten years in Luangwa Valley. In Zambia, Craig worked as a Professional Guide under the direction of the well-known conservationist Norman Carr.
Craig moved to Tanzania in 2001 and for several years he was responsible for the Friedkin Conservation Fund, a non-government organization. He is now a full-time guide.
In addition to his natural history experience, Craig specializes in the study of snakes and has written two reference books on the subject.
