Born and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Andy was introduced to the bush at a young age in Matabeleland. Andy spent several years guiding canoeing and walking safaris in the Zambezi Valley. During this time, he was also responsible for coordinating anti-poaching efforts and was made an Honorary Ranger with the Zambian Wildlife Department.

Andy has also worked in Uganda and Kenya as an operations manager for an adventure safari company. He went on to join Ker & Downey in 2001 as a concession manager and obtained his full guides license shortly thereafter.

Presently, he guides photographic trips in Tanzania. In his spare time, Andy travels within Africa kayaking some of the continent’s wildest rivers.
