Paul was born and raised in South Africa, and at a very early age was introduced to the bush.
His father and grandfather were wildlife enthusiasts and spent their holidays fishing and taking safaris into the remote
places of South Africa and Namibia. During these formative years in the bush, an early passion for wildlife evolved.
Paul decided to make wildlife and nature conservation his career. After his graduation from school he successfully
obtained his National Diploma in Nature Conservation at the Pretoria Technikon in South Africa.
Paul is an excellent and well qualified safari guide. His work has taken him into various areas of the subcontinent
from South Africa to a crocodile farm in Mozambique. Paul has experience as a camp manager and spent the past few years
managing camps in the remote wilderness areas of Tanzania.
Paul joined the Ker & Downey team in 2008.
